Tribute to Destal Tyler

My dear friend Destal Tyler passed on 12-18-2009

He drilled for the water which deep is found

making holes way down into the ground.

Hard work, sweat and machines,

with trials and tribulation means;

God was building his faith and trust

water for life is wet and a must.

He told us his stories of thunder and storms

out of sorrow and anguish much joy was born.

The Lord gave him boldness to speak out loud,

the testimonies he himself had found.

With his rig and the strength of his hand

he dug the wells to water the land

and the water of life flowed through his heart.

God gave him a lifegroup and lots of smart.

He watered so many of feeble faith

and made them grow to much amaze.

He planted the seeds in souls that were dead

despite the threat of some of men.

God added a wife with knowledge and spirit

to complete His work in Destal with merit.

With love and with kindness she worked at his side

while he taught the Word with power and might.

He taught us to worship our God in His Glory

we sang along and so did Laurie.

The guitar and the music was also his passion

he used it for God in most every session;

a doer of the word in so many ways

a father to fatherless most ev’ry day.

Destal went ahead now to see our Father

and his seed is still growing further and further.
